Rhodes

Aegean Sea, Greece

Rhodes (or Rodos) is the ever famous island of the Knights with the long medieval history!
It is the main island and the capital of the Dodecanese complex. Its main town is big and hardly reminds of an island. However, it is quite beautiful, and beyond any average expectation. It is a great shopping place where there is certainly a place that sells your favorite product brand. It has a very intense nightlife, with a large variety of options for restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs that will blow your mind!
While in Rhodes, the visitor should spare some time to visit the impeccably preserved medieval city. This can be a full day’s excursion as there are plenty of historical buildings, shops, cafes, restaurants, even nightclubs all neatly spread behind the tall walls of the castle.
Outside the town of Rhodes, there are numerous places to visit on the island. The amazing butterfly valley, the Acropolis of Lindos, the waterpark in Faliraki, the beaches of Kallithea, Afantou, Ixia and Prassonissi, and the bay of St. Paul are just some very few examples of the countless beauties worth visiting.
Rhodes is a very well-preserved island, with numerous places to visit where clearly the locals appreciate tourism and will do their best to provide visitors with the utmost quality of services.
