Paros

Aegean Sea, Greece

One of the most beautiful and picturesque destinations in Greece, Paros with its incomparable beauty seems to have captured the brightness of the Cyclades and the magnificent turquoise waters of the Aegean sea and kept it all to itself!

The main town is Parikia, which is also the capital of the island. It boasts a relatively big port which is secure from most winds of the Aegean. Once disembarked in Parikia, the visitor will come face-to-face with the beauty of the colors and the famous Cycladic architecture.

The second, but not least popular town is Naoussa located at the northernmost point of Paros. If you have browsed into traveling brochures of Greece, you have most certainly bumped into pictures of Naoussa, as it is one of the most featured places. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a stroll in it’s narrow streets, enjoy a dinner at the old harbor, or a cocktail right on the sand.

Other places certainly worth visiting are among others Ampelas, Aliki, Marpissa, the fishermen’s village of Piso Livadi and the picturesque mountainous village of Lefkes.
Paros also features a good quality nightlife with nice cafe’s, bars, nightclubs, and party-beaches spread all over the island. Although a bit “touristic” at places, The overall colors of Paros remain intact and promise to reward the visitor with the most pleasant memories!
